  • 12 oz ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ¼ cup grated onion
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup uncooked rice
  • 4 cubanella peppers
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Knorr cube
  • 1/2 tsp chicken base

Method

  1. Mix together beef, rice, salt, pepper, grated onion, and minced garlic.
  2. Remove seeds from peppers, and fill them up with beef mixture.
  3. In the large pot, heat 2 Tbsp of oil, place chopped onion, tomato sauce, stuffed peppers, and add enough water to cover peppers.
  4. Cook on a medium low temperature for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Check every 15 minutes if it needs more water. Add salt, black pepper, chicken knorr cube, and chicken base about 15 minutes before it’s completely cooked.
  5. In the mixing cup, mix flour with ¼ to ½ cup of water, and add it to the pot, mixing to incorporate and sauce thickens.

It goes best with homemade mashed potato.
